Cool! Number 400 in my total player responses! I'm super glad I've gotten one of the Canucks all-time great goaltenders' autographs in Richard Brodeur. "King" Richard was very instrumental in the Canucks' playoff run in the early 80s, but lost (yes, the first time) in the Stanley Cup finals to the NY Islanders. Shucks :(

A pretty good return from a great, young player. Luke Schenn is the brother of Braydon Schenn. Schenn is a stay at home type of defenseman who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs and was drafted 5th overall in the 2008 entry draft. He's currently on pace to match his career high in points with 22!

Tessa is an established Canadian women's hockey player. She was part of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic team which captured gold. In addition to being very, very prominent in the International stage, she also has the distinction of being the first ever pick in the CWHL draft.

Joe Colborne is a Calgary native, but currently plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was drafted in 2008, 16th overall. I'm quite happy that I've gotten Joe's auto, as I do think he'll be a solid NHL player someday. Thanks Joe!

Another sweet auto, this time by Roman Hamrlik. He's a veteran defenseman whom has played over 1300+ games in his career. He has played for the Canadiens, Flames and Oilers, just to name a few. He is also a former 1st overall pick, from the 1992 draft. So lucky to get his auto!

Kris Letang is a former Val-d'Or Foreurs member and Stanley Cup winner with his current team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. This year, Kris was a victim of a vicious head shot. He's currently on IR with a concussion, hopefully he'll be back sometime this year and be able to help the Pens make the playoffs.

Thomas Hickey is a great young prospect for the LA Kings. He was drafted 4th overall in the 2007 draft year, but has really yet to supplant himself as a consistent full time NHL'er. Thomas has represented Canada well, by helping his World Junior squad reach gold twice, once in 2008 and the other in 2009.

Nick Ebert may be regarded as one of USA's best 2012 draft picks in the upcoming entry draft. According the USATODAY.com, he's 3rd after Alex Galenchyuk and James Trouba. I'm pretty stoked to have gotten his autograph as I'm always happy to see returns from top players, current or future. Thanks Nick!

Hurrah, another NHL return! "JVR" is a 1st round, 2nd overall pick from the Flyers in the 2007 draft. He obviously hasn't had as much success as number one overall pick Patrick Kane, but is on pace for another career season. Hopefully him, and his Flyers, can play at their current pace to ensure they remain in a playoff spot. It's been a weird year for Eastern teams, as who would've thought (as of the writing of this blog), that Washington, Tampa Bay, Buffalo and Pittsburgh would all be hovering outside of, or just barely in the playoff race!

Tomas Vokoun is currently playing for the Washington Capitals. He was initially drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1994, 226th overall. Since then, he has played for the Canadiens, Panthers and Predators. He has helped his native country, Czech Republic, win bronze in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

Retired 6th overall draft pick Vincent Damphousse signed this card, along side 2 others for me. He was part of the Montreal Canadiens run, and win, of the Stanley Cup in 1993. During the playoffs that year, Vincent tallied 23 points in 20 playoffs games. You'd think Vincent had a chance at the scoring title, with 97 points that season, but Mario Lemieux had 160.

Brendan Gaunce currently plays for the Belleville Bulls and is slated to be a 2012 draft pick. In the 2009/10 season, Brendan racked up 148 points in 86 games. He'll be looked as one of the offensive leaders for the Bulls when they play again this year. He was the second overall pick in the 2010 OHL priority Selection. Good luck being drafted high Brendan!

Scott Jackson is a big guy, standing at 6'3, about 215lbs. Currently playing for the Norfolk Admirals, Scott has only one NHL game under his belt to date. He was drafted by the St.Louis Blues in 2005, but signed a contract with the Lightning organization in 2008. Thanks for the auto Scott!

Luca Ciampini is a 2012 entry draft pick. He has been touted early on in his career, but has yet to put up impressive numbers thus far. Last year, in 39 games, he tallyed 19 points and a -3 plus/minus rating. I hope this year he'll have a great year and put himself in a better position to be drafted in!

Jordan Weal was a Team Canada tryout for the World Juniors held in Calgary/Edmonton this year. Unfortunately he did not make the cut, so he returned back to his junior squad, the Regina Pats. He'll need to find out ways to play vs NHL players, as he's a bit on the short side standing at 5'9.

Currently in the Rangers organization, Chad Johnson has been playing pro hockey for about 5 years now. He was a late draft pick at 125th overall in 2006 by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has played only a handful of games in the NHL, suiting up for the Rangers in 09/10 season, winning 2 of 5 games.

My first blog of 2012! Although I did receive this card in 2011, I've set it up so that I try and get one blog in per day. Currently, Brad is signed under the Pittsburgh organization, never having been drafted. He was signed as an undrafted free agent at the end of the 08/09 season.
